Leonard Braunschweiger is a graduate of both New York University where he received his BFA degree and Parsons School of Design where he has been a member of the faculty. He started his early career working for I.M. Pei and Partners where he designed large scale projects. While in Europe he worked with architects and designers on restoration of historic buildings. The firm of Leonard Braunschweiger & Company Inc. was founded in 1983. At the time he was working in collaboration with the Gruzen Partnership on the Montana, a 36 story residential building. Leonard Braunschweiger is part of the committee for the New York League of Celebral House Tours and has also exhibited his work on the tour. The firm has been published in numerous magazines and books including Interior Design Magazine, New York Living, Area, New York Spaces (July/August 05), Bathrooms, Bedrooms and Private Spaces, Color Details and Design.
