What defines a "dream" or even a "reality" to those who live within is as individual as they are. Sensitive design acknowledges the qualities, personalities, and lifestyles of the owners, interpreting and mirroring them into the home environment. This is accomplished through the imaginative use of detail in such interior elements as the interior architecture, finish details, color, textures, furnishings, and appointments. Biography
Julie O'Brien, recently honored by the International Design Magazine, Design Times, as one of their "100 Designers to Watch," is owner and principal designer of Julie O'Brien Design Group, an interior design firm that focuses on residential, retail, restaurant, and other hospitality related spaces. Likewise, she is president of her own accessories design and distribution company, Julie Julie, which designs and produces fabric home accessories distributing nationally and internationally. Julie's design work has been published numerous times in such publications as Design Times, Contract, Interiors, Home Accents Today, Southern Accents, American Homestyle & Gardening, Traditional Home, and Bride's Magazine. Her work has received more than 20 awards in the past five years, including "Monumental Awards," IIDA "Make a Wish Foundation" awards, ASID "Excellence in Design" awards, Indianapolis Monthly "Critics Choice" awards, and a New York Home Textiles "Best New Products" award.
