After graduating with a B.A. in Interior Design from New York University, Chip du Pont's career was inaugurated in the design department of New York City's Bloomingdale's. His success continued in South Florida, where he became the CEO and founding principal of DuPont-Design, inc.
With offices in Deerfield Beach, FL, du Pont's comprehensive interior design and space planning services have enriched the lives of discriminating clients residing throughout the U.S., as well as those with fine homes in Europe, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
du Pont, a Florida licensed interior designer, has held the office of President of the Interior Design Guild of South Florida (IDG) and the Florida Chapter of International Interior Design Association (IIDA). He served for two years on the International Board of IIDA. In 1999, du Pont was honored by induction into the IIDA College of Fellows and is Chairman of the Board for the Interior Design Guild Foundation. du Pont's involvement extends to the media where he has written for Florida Design Magazine, and others. He is a regular feature column called "Designer's Corner" in several newspapers, including the Palm Beach Post.
Du Pont is the recipient of many design awards including the 1999 Florida Design Editors' Award. du Pont added PBS' Decor to his list of television credits as well as New Florida as host of "Around the House".
