I design for client's lifestyles. This means interiors that are classic and traditional, but emphasize Mid-Century Modern furnishings, antiques, and beautiful natural fabrics.
Award winning journalist and former Home and Fashion editor for The Washingtonian Magazine, Marjory has successfully combined the art of fashion with the world of interiors. First reporting on design, then working directly in the field, Marjory's signature rooms emphasize a classic-not trendy approach, and are defined by antiques, art, modern furniture, beautiful fabrics, and comfort.
Inspiration comes from nature, travel, the client themselves.
Le Corbusier, Chanel, decorator Billy Baldwin, and Bill Blass have all influenced Marjory's design esthetic.
Marjory's success comes with constant recognition and room designs being featured in many trade periodicals- Southern Accents, Traditional Home, Metropolitan Home, House Beautiful, Better Homes and Gardens Magazines are just a few.
Over the past 19 years, Marjory has been involved with many charitable organizations, donating her time and design expertise in support of The National Symphony Orchestra Deocrator's ShowHouse, Children's Hospital Design House, and The Annapolis Historical Societies Decorator ShowHouse.
