Nanci Grant comes from a theater background and perceives designing spaces literally and figuratively, as a backdrop upon which life happens. After pursuing her undergraduate studies in theater and philosophy at Emerson College in Boston, Mass., and language and philosophy at Universita Per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy, Nanci went on to complete the Interior Design Program at The New York School of Interior Design, with an emphasis on color theory. Nanci's ardent employment of color and ingenious utilization of material make her designs as unique as they are stunning. She likes to use materials in surprising and unexpected ways, all the while keeping a constant eye on green sustainability. Nanci can faithfully execute any design style, from Rococo to Mid-Century Modernism. However, what really interests her is creating amalgams, identifying the essence of objects, and accentuating their interdependence. Her previous projects include lofts, apartments and lobbies in New York City, as well as theatrical staging. In Los Angeles, Nancy designed a 3900 sq ft home from the ground up, designed rental homes, outdoor living rooms and theatrical staging. She also designs furniture and lighting and has had her own firm in Los Angeles for almost 4 years.
