Alma Nugent is the founder and president of Nugent Designs, Inc., a full service interior design firm. She is a New York State Certified Interior Designer a BFA in Interior Design from NY School of Interior Design and New York Institute of Technology, and a MA in Technology and Industrial Design from NYU. In 2003-2004 she served as President of the New York Metro Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). As the only African American to hold that office, Nugent was interviewed by The New York Times and profiled in the Metro Section's "Private Lives."
