Award-winning, French-born interior designer, Guillaume Gentet is also a fine artist and muralist. This eldest son of an architect and artist/teacher, began his career in a fashion house in Paris; later emigrating to Palm Beach to work alongside a cadre of superstar architects and builders. Gentet's been featured in "Architectural Digest" for his innovative use of metallic overlays and a contemporary interpretation of an old-world process of reverse-painted glass called verre elogmisé. Whether contemporary, traditional or anywhere in between, his work is imbued with a joyful sense of color. Guillaume uses pink as a neutral the way the rest of us use white or beige, "It makes people happy and looks good on everybody." One of his Manhattan renovations will be the subject of a major network TV show and later this year, two hotel renovations in Paris will bear his signature.
