Susan Schemm

Susan Featherstone-Schemm has 10 years of experience in the design industry as well as a Degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Pennsylvania. From working in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. area as well as traveling to client's vacation homes the duration of her design career, Susan is very familiar with the local, national and global market trends. Her already heightened and talented sense for textiles led her to follow her dream into becoming an interior designer. She started as a sales representative for ADO, a German drapery company, where she perfected her her natural talent in designing custom fabrication and window treatments. With her increased confidence as a window treatment specialist, Susan then decided to open her own design firm. With a partner, Susan Schemm opened Design Scheme Interiors a leading design firm in the Washington DC area. With many loyal clients by her side and after six successful years with Design Scheme Interiors, Susan has started a new project, Interiors by Leo Decorium.
