Years of design experience, a vast knowledge of products and services, and an understanding of clients? lifestyles and desires contribute to the design of unique environments.
With a background in fine art, Rosanne Duncan's design abilities are enhanced by a lust for travel and a compulsion to learn about products and merchandise. Her every design project becomes a creative experience that focuses on the needs and desires of the client.
Growing up as a New Yorker, Rosanne was exposed to the city?s cultural richness and diversity. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Queens College and earned a Masters of Arts degree from Cornell University, extraordinary preparation for a life devoted to art and design. Teaching design for four years at the University of Maryland and Drexel University was an expanding experience.
As a ?foodie? who has taught cooking classes, developed a television segment on the subject, and contributed to cookbooks, kitchen design and function has always been of special interest to Rosanne.
Based in metropolitan Detroit and New York, and working throughout the country, residential design has been a primary focus for Rosanne.
Rosanne's design projects have ranged from working with antiques to creating very contemporary spaces, from Asian influences to American design. The important ingredients of being able to conceptualize a finished space and communicate that concept to a client, having a strong knowledge of and ability to work with color, being able to distill choices and select elements based on vast market knowledge, personal attention to detail, and follow-through have all contributed to Rosanne's successful and enduring client relationships.
