Our approach to "sustainable" design is rooted in the site itself. By orienting a building to the sun, passively heating & cooling the interior spaces, we encourage a connection between the structures and their inhabitants to the natural landscape.

Moger Mehrhof Architects (MMA) began its creative existence in 2009. The founding principals focus their design exploration on finding relationships between dwellings and the landscape they inhabit.
Our work is informed by some basic ideas: that buildings can serve as a bridge between nature, culture and people, and that inspirational surroundings have a positive effect on people¿s lives.
Matthew Moger's talent and passion for sustainable design drives his work at MMA. He believes that good design is born out of true understanding of their client's needs. This "understanding" gives purpose to his design explorations which focuses on: materials, surfaces, light, and the elegant connections that can be made.
Kirby Mehrhof shares in his partner's passions for sustainable design, the use of materials and how natural light can be modulated to affect how we perceive a space. In addition, he is driven by his own passion for the art of the detail. He believes that fine detailing enhances the design concept and expresses an understanding of materials.
