Large Bathroom: Third Place

Dramatic Contemporary Bathroom by Neil B. Kelly

The minimalist contemporary style of this updated bathroom is conveyed through clean design and a palette of gray, stainless, and black. A well-composed lighting plan is essential in complementing the darker backdrop of the room, and this has been successfully achieved through a skylight, halogen fixtures, track lighting, and recessed LED fixtures. Creature comforts such as heated tile floors throughout the bathroom and shower, along with heated towel bars, ensure a comfortable, warm beginning to cold winter mornings. Thermostat control, switches, outlets, and hand towels are tucked away and hidden from view. Out-of-sight functional elements and petite custom cabinet door pulls contribute to the minimalistic unobstructed visual flow. A spacious tiled shower completes this bathroom.
