The inspiration for this dining room was modern elegance. We wanted to create a comfortable and timeless environment. The jumping off point was the wallpaper by Harlequin. It has a contemporary feel with it's tone-on-tone palate of ivory, champagne, and shimmery gold. The custom dining chairs are very comfortable for prolonged dinners with their deep tufted backs and subtly textured fabric. In order to balance the lightness of the room, we used a dark brown lacquer dining table by Plantation Design with a sculptural profile, and a charcoal and ivory area rug hand woven in wool and silk yarns by JD Staron. To complete the look, and add a touch of glamour, a crystal and nickel chandelier by Vaughan and lucite sconces by Porto Romano were installed. The light sparkles from these fixtures. The cloisonne pink and lavender vases introduced a pop of color and fun and help keep the room from being too serious. All in all, the room turned out to be a great mix of formal, glamorous, and fun. The perfect space for formal dinner parties and family gatherings.
