I collaborated with the owner of this home, who was also the builder of it as well. The dining/living/kitchen area was designed to be open to the entire main living area. We had very high ceilings and used the area behind the dining table to display the wine racks as a dramatic feature. There was a lot of available wall space, so the wine racks bought an interesting element and filled the space appropriately. The dining table was made custom, the base matching the kitchen cabinets, which are a mix of high gloss cream lacquer and wenge wood. The accent wallpaper is a woven grasscloth, "Japanese Paper Weave" by Phillip Jeffries.
