Sub-Zero and Wolf's 2010-2012 Kitchen Design Contest: Regional Winner Award.
The existing home, an historic Alamo Square Victorian townhouse built in 1890, survived the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire that destroyed a large portion of the city. The owners, an engineer at Apple and an owner of a successful graphic design firm, desired a modern kitchen while being respectful of the existing Victorian architecture. The remodel included cabinetry flanking the Dining Room fireplace and a deck off the kitchen. Please note the original Victorian chimney concealed by a previous remodel was found to be in good condition and became an architectural feature in our design.
