Directly stated, it is my belief that my work is sculpture presented in the form of an interior with aspirations to be art. Rather than a signature look, I emphasize a signature approachone that embraces the journey to give vision expression with clarity and purpose. Each project is conceived as a "couture design," beginning with an idea to be explored, which achieves realization through its evolution. It is most important (to me) that my designs challenge imaginations, not capture them. |

I have an MFA in sculpture and a BA in sociology. For the early part of my career I designed and built my projectsprimarily residential lofts, fashion photographers' studios, offices for productions companies creating television commercials, and apartments in Manhattan and Long Island City, where I resided. For the past 10 years, I have designed the interiors of many large houses in New Jersey and Long Island, sometimes with work beginning as early as the foundation being poured. Because of my sculpture and construction background, I am comfortable onsite, where it's no mystery to me how work is accomplished efficiently and with high standards.
Recently, I participated in the International (formerly French) Designer Show House, Fall 2003, and in the Spring of 2003 I presented a woman's study at the Mansions in May Showhouse, Bernardsville, N.J. Current projects include an Asian influenced two-bedroom in NYC, a house in Holliswood, N.Y., and a one-bedroom in lower Manhattan. At the Architectural Digest Home Design Show I have offered "my conversation room," a personal expression juxtaposing comfort and sculpture in the hopes of creating a room that can challenge as well as embrace.
