Strolling the aisles of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) makes for an invigorating and fun, if at times mystifying, trip. (Modern lines don't always equate to comfortable furnishings, but these artful pieces are impressive nonetheless.) Given the show's name, you might expect to find only furniture; in fact, some of the most striking displays showcase sleek kitchens and bath fittings. Lighting, floor and wall coverings, textiles, garden furniture, and accessories also receive top billing here.
An annual event in its fifteenth year, the ICFF is the country's premier event for contemporary furniture design. Exhibitors come from around the world and include such established companies as Bernhardt Design, Dornbracht, and Blu Dot in addition to newer companies Black & Blum and Lawson-Fenning looking to make a splash.
We've handpicked some of our favorites from this year's show in Manhattan to give you a chance to view products you won't find in your local furniture storethat is, not yet!
