A spring-like dining room confounds expectations of what such rooms should be. While glamorous, it has putty walls and green plaids to make it user-friendly and light-spirited.
Matthew Patrick Smyth employed geometric shapes, such as a plaid tablecloth and a grid of framed 1750 Paris maps, to contrast with baroque 1940s gilded iron French chairs and a French-inspired Murano glass chandelier.
