In order to create a private, yet sumptuous sleeping space, the owner combined diaphanous cream-colored netting with gold metallic Indian fabric at the head of the bed. Venetian handprinted silk velvet provides a lush backdrop.
An eclectic mix of period pieces pulls the look together: from the 18th century, an Italian gilt mirror and Flemish candle pedestal; a late 19th century Khotan carpet; and Italian lamps from the 1920s.
