The architects' design incorporates a floating theme throughout the house, observed here in the tops of these architectural supports painted dark blue, making them seem to float in mid-air.
Taking inspiration from the traditional American house shape, a block with four rooms upstairs and four downstairs, the architects kept the overall shape, allowing them to keep costs down and invest in the details to make the house special, like the floating effect on the supports here.
