With hunting-lodge rusticity, the addition's architectural ornamentation comes from the beauty of the post-and-beam construction and its sculpturelike frame.
The view from the dining room into the new post-and-beam addition shows Candra's cowbells hanging from a beam as a visual boundary between the kitchen and the breakfast area. The distressed ceiling beams and the floorboards, recycled from an old textile mill, instantly create a long-time lived-in look.
