Contemporary Slant in New England

Brookline, Massachusetts

"The kitchen was made a little bigger to duplicate two separate kitchen areas: one meat and one dairy," the homeowner says.

Structural changes were necessary to better accommodate the family's Orthodox Jewish lifestyle. They wanted space for separate working areas to keep foods kosher. The new kitchen has separate pairs of appliances, including two ovens, two dishwashers, two refrigerators, and two sinks.
