Picture lights attach to a framed work or to the wall above or below. They can be secured to the wall and hardwired to a dedicated electrical box, or be simply hung and plugged in. When using a picture light that plugs in, consider having your electrician install a "clock box," allowing the outlet to be placed behind the artwork and accommodate the cord.
