A conservative approach is to match the style of cabinet hardware to the rest of the house, but you might want to choose something a little outrageous or unexpected. Unlike even paint or a new sofa, knobs are easy to replace if you tire of them. They are an excellent way to introduce some bright color in an all-white room. You can mix and match different pieces from the same manufacturer, but it helps to keep within a theme, such as fruit and vegetable knobs in the kitchen.
