REFRIGERATORS: Built-in Refrigerators |
| Introduction | Built-in Refrigerators | Freestanding Refrigerators |
It's getting increasingly difficult to find the refrigerator in today's fabulous new kitchens. Built-in refrigerators are completely camouflaged with custom cabinetry.
Popular side-by-side built-in models designed with unfinished sides and a shallow 25" countertop depth must position their compressor on top, adding a foot to its overall height. Some freestanding side-by-side models are designed to look like built-ins; they offer a shallower depth and will accept custom door panels, but don't fully integrate into the cabinetry.

Offering approximately five cubic feet of storage, drawer-type refrigerators are the hardest to spot: they may be placed in almost any location where additional refrigeration would be convenient.
