For many of us, telecommuting is a way of life. Technology has become a welcome member of our household. And our assorted electronic stuff has mushroomed into an office, filling space that yesterday held no more than a writing surface and comfortable seat. We might be working from super-equipped home offices one day a week or four, or we might use the office simply as project central for family, house, and kids. Whatever our situation, we need furnishings that are flexible and functional. The more modular the better. No matter the configurations we opt for, everything — chairs and work surfaces — must be ergonomically savvy. Health and comfort should rank above all else.
