The designer resolved the privacy issue by hanging lightly lined sheer linen roman shades across several windows as a unit. These are connected by stationary drapery panels.
This treatment maintains the room's light and airy feel by day, but provides a sense of enclosure at night. A durable wool carpet custom-woven to be seamless invites family members to loll on the floor at any time.
