Sharon Johnson

One of Sharon's first jobs out of Wellesley College was at the Boston Design Center. It was there that she learned the difference between tôle and toile, fell in love with Brunschwig & Fils fabric, and came to appreciate the soul-stirring possibilities of truly great design. Since then, she has written about parenting for websites and print, about business strategy for Digitas and Harvard Business School, and about decorating and design for The Boston Globe, Boston Home Magazine and now, HomePortfolio. She lives in Newton, MA in a perfectly lovely though far-from-perfect center-entrance Colonial. She shares her home with two college-age children, an un-trainable beagle, and an ever-patient husband who awakens every morning with the hope that it will be the day the decorating projects finally come to an end.
