Master Bedroom Pet Peeve: Not Utilizing Closet Space

"People don't use their closets properly," says Lockhart. It doesn't matter how much space you have if you're not making efficient use of it.

Consider This: "Invest in a built-in, as in building in drawers, pant holders, and hooks," she recommends. "It's worth spending the money for a company to do it for you." They can design and install organized interiors, providing all the mechanics, including the sliding doors, she says. As opposed to having open bins, you can also have a jewelry drawer, a cubby for shoes, pullouts or shelves for bags, belts, and other accessories—all organized for easy access, Lockhart says.
