Maine Sea Captain's Bed

The original antique bed was discovered in a small coastal town in Maine, probably made locally during the late Federal period, CA 1800-1820. Most beds of this elegant form were produced in Mahogany and seldom found in native wood. The use of Tiger Maple here gave a serious Federal style a light-hearted twist. Offered here in traditional Tiger Maple finish, as shown.
