This Mahogany bed is a fine example of traditional West Indian form. The graceful, elaborately carved headboard appears to flow seamlessly into the concave-convex rope twist headposts. The footposts feature an acanthus leaf vase and reeded urn. The blocks, decorated with inset bees wing panels and hand-carved bolt covers, are joined by a delicate, ribbon-carved cross rail. Shown here in traditional finish.
