Heurtley Spindle Back Chair: In 1902, Frank Lloyd Wright designed a house in Oak Park, Illinois for Arthur and Grace Heurtley, a successful young couple. Wright wrote of the house, “it is one of my best.” He designed the furniture for the house including the spindle back chair with its unique curved arms. Copeland Furniture holds the exclusive license to build the furniture designs of Frank Lloyd Wright.
