Ben's Getabako

Rob Hare

When discussing a new piece for his office Ben asked for a Getabako, but not necessarily to store shoes. The highly figured Claro Walnut wood is from the same logs as 2 arm chairs he had recently commissioned. The Hand Forged Steel, Italian Limestone and Woodwork all fit together without tools to create a rigid form. The 4 drawers hold either legal or letter folders, close with invisible locks and are mounted on hand made wenge wood full extension slides. As with all of my work this is designed > MORE to be viewed from all sides and in fact is used as a room divider as well as a storage unit.^ LESS
