Locally harvested, eco-friendly and full of personality, the Rio Grande Side Table in sculpted Cottonwood is created from standing trees cleared from burn areas in the bosque (woodlands) along the Rio Grande River in New Mexico. Part of a rehabilitation effort, the trees were rescued and turned into ever-so-clever shaped side tables finished with a non-toxic topcoat finish. Click on 'Open Larger Views' above to see images of the actual trees being fallen for the creation of the tables.
A donation from the sale of each table will be made to Tree New Mexico, a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring sustainable forests in urban and rural communities and natural areas through restoration, public education and advocacy.
There will be various separations, splits and cracks on your table when it arrives. These naturally occur as the wood dries and shrinks. Over time, some continued shrinkage may accentuate existing separations or generate new ones. This does not compromise the structural performance or integrity of the wood and is considered inherent to the natural beauty of the design.
