Kashmir Decorative Pillow

During block printing, the tables are covered with a white cotton cloth where the printers test the blocks. The inspiration for these pillows are the random combinations created over days of printing.

Each cotton linen pillow is printed using the same traditional Indian blockprinting techniques that have been used for thousands of years. Detailed blocks are chiseled out of shesham wood, then dipped in a dye pad before being stamped onto the fabric. After printing, the fabrics are washed, pressed, sewn & embellished with hand stitched details and edging.
