Roti Round Decorative Pillows

Yes, I might be doing a bit too much yoga as I am seeing Chackras and Mandalas everywhere. I wanted to pay my respects to all of those lovely, spinning yogis who enlighten me. Ommm.

I started using this heavy woven cotton to print rugs on. Then it came to me that it would be great for rough casual pillows to throw around outside. The rough cotton takes the block and dye reluctantly, creating a layered print.

Each cotton linen pillow is printed using the same traditional Indian blockprinting techniques that have been used for thousands of years. Detailed blocks are chiseled out of shesham wood, then dipped in a dye pad before being stamped onto the fabric. After printing, the fabrics are washed, pressed, sewn & embellished with hand stitched details and edging.
