Fiona Teak Tray

Design Within Reach

Best known as a founder and principle designer for Dansk tableware, Jens Quistgaard was renowned for his innovative use of non-traditional materials. Using both stainless and enameled steel, often combined with warm teak wood, he created consistently elegant pieces for the home that were defined by their functionality. His Fiona Teak Tray (1985) embodies this material honesty. Use it alone as an elegant serving tray, or fit it on top of the Teak Folding Stool (sold separately) to create small > MORE end table. The bottom has the characteristic grating while the sides are made of five layers of molded teak. Both pieces can be used indoors or out, and, like all teak, they will patina to a rich, silvery color over time, or can be treated with teak oil to maintain their original luster. Leaving them outside for long periods in inclement weather is not recommended. Made in Thailand. ^ LESS
