Sabi Cladding

Windfall Lumber

Discovering beauty in imperfection and profundity in nature, the new Sabi Cladding from Windfall Lumber is influenced by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-sabi. Always pursuing unique ways to reduce waste and transform salvaged materials into luxurious design products, the creative minds at Windfall Lumber were inspired by the flawed beauty of aged wood in the natural progression of time. The Sabi Cladding’s design encompasses concepts of timeworn elegance with a richly mellow beauty. Sabi > MORE Cladding is made from reclaimed Douglas fir and hemlock solid and glue laminated beams taken from deconstructed industrial, agricultural and residential buildings in the Pacific Northwest and is FSC Certified – Recycled. Wabi-sabi can be found in the presence of marks and textured features considered to be symbolic of the passing of time, weather and living use. Sabi Cladding colors and textures emphasize unrefined or rustic simplicity, the premium finishes include: Char, Weather, Shoji White and Lotus. The palette is drawn from blacks, grays, whites and earth tones, creating an opportunity for innovation and creativity in hospitality, commercial, retail and residential indoor spaces. The cladding is ½” thick x 4 ½” wide, and comes in random lengths of 2’ - 8’. The tongue and groove joints have straight edges. ^ LESS
