Guide to inspire your gift giving during the holidays

By The Editors at HomePortfolio

One of life's pleasures is coming to understand that the old adage, "'Tis better to give than to receive," is true. In that spirit, HomePortfolio editors are delighted to introduce the first in a series of whimsical, beautiful and out-of-the-ordinary, home-centered gift guides meant to inspire your giving this holiday (or any other season). Here's hoping that your holidays—and your giving—are particularly bright this year.

The Gift of Fine Art

The beauty of seasonal flowers inspired artist Karen Deans to create a series of wooden wall tile groupings from her original oil paintings. The tiles, meant to be hung together, would work well above a desk, a sideboard, or anywhere in your home that would benefit from a splash of exuberant color.

$320 for the set of four. Each tile is signed and numbered by the artist.
