Kitchen by Phil Norman

A popular choice for decades, solid hardwood flooring is a suitable option for kitchens. Solid woods can handle the foot traffic of this busy hub and will also wipe clean easily. With the current popularity of open-concept kitchens, hardwood flooring can create a seamless transition to adjoining sitting rooms or dining areas. To provide a layer of cushion and break up the wood pattern, add a colorful area rug or runner. Ceramic tile, travertine, and slate floors also work well in this area of the home.
