Aqua Culture

As a rule, blue tones recede visually, making them an excellent choice to help open up a space. The solid swath of pale aqua in this kitchen—cabinetry, backsplash tile, and wall paint—creates the sense of a much larger room. Although the color holds its own, it's subtle enough to blend beautifully with the whites and other lighter tones for a pleasing sense of cohesiveness.
