Neutral Territory

This warm, rustic kitchen proves that red can work as a neutral, so long as you choose the right shade and apply it judiciously. The soft brick color on the cabinetry enlivens the space without shouting and creates subtle contrast with the natural wood beams. A brightly patterned rug further pulls the color into the space.
