Stunning Skylights

By Tiffany Adams

For your home to be seen in the best light, it needs plenty of natural sources. Windows, transoms, and entry doors are a great place to start, but to truly make good use of the sunlight, install a skylight. You'll get amazing natural light during the day, as well as a glimpse of the blue sky or the stars, and you may also reduce the amount of artificial light you use. Plus, skylights can add a wow factor to any space. Check out these aesthetically pleasing ways to incorporate a skylight into your home.

Tray Chic

A tray ceiling with a centrally installed skylight brings dimension and natural light to this neutral kitchen. With only one small window, the room could have had a tendency to feel dark or cramped; however, thanks to a light palette and the opened-up ceiling, it appears airy and spacious. Plus, there's plenty of light for preparing meals or enjoying them at the island.
