Construction of ground floor rear extension and installation of window replacements.

T1 – Apple tree in rear garden of 6 Highwood Road. Crown reduce by approximately 1 metre in height and lateral spread, pruning back to suitable growth points and retaining a balanced natural crown. Remove dead, damaged, crossing and congested branches. Routine maintenance to manage the size and spread of the tree, improve its form and maintain a healthy, balanced crown appropriate to the size of the garden.

Common Lime (Tilia × europaea). Reduce the crown to the previous pruning points, removing approximately 2 metres of branch length. Remove basal and epicormic growth to approximately 6 metres in height. During the crown reduction works, the climbing arborist should assess the structure of the upper parts of the trunk and main scaffold stems. Routine management of a mature Lime that has previously been crown reduced. The proposed works follow the recommendations of the Arboricultural Solutions LLP tree inspection report dated February 2025 and are intended to reduce the overall size of the tree, including the sail effect of the crown and lever length of the branches, while retaining the tree and its amenity value. The tree is located within the rear garden of 4 Yerbury Road. The application is being made by the occupier of 6 Highwood Road with the agreement of the tree owner at 4 Yerbury Road.

Erection of a single-storey rear extension with a total depth of 5.6m, a total height of 3.2m, and eaves height eaves of 3 m.

Robinia (T1): Reduce to previous points (approx. 1-2m all round)

1) Sycamore: Light reduction of over-extended branches on outer canopy by up to 1.5 metres; thin overall crown by 15% to provide light through to garden and property; remove any dead and defective branchwood.
